how know actually opened files ?

Hello,
The value of the /proc/sys/fs/file-max is 8192 (max files that can be opned)
How can i see the actually opened files by my system?

If you just want the number then there is a file in the same directory showing that but you need to know how to interpret it.

No. And I havne't got a Linux computer so I can't check it.

/proc/sys/fs/file-nr

It shows three numbers which as I remember, means the number of open files, the number of free handles and the last number is the maximum number of files ever opened.
I'm not 100% sure though.

The value of the /proc/sys/fs/file-max is 8192 (max files that can be opened)
Is this the maxium number of files that can be opened at any one time or the total number of files that can be opened system wide or per drive or opened by one user or....
