What routers and switches do I need to buy?

I know about 2800 series routers, but they are too expensive...........

the 2800 serie ISR or Integrated services routers are pricey, but its all-in-one. you can get Unity module, VPN module, 4 PORT POE module. CCME runs on it. as well as standard data features such as vlan, pppoe, etc.. I initially went this route but figured it was too expensive.

I spent a few bucks and know some people in the industry.
This software can be implented on none cisco equipment also with some registry hacks. search google and tektips and ebay

cisco mcs
cisco phone
cisco ipt
cisco voip
cisco ip telephony

there is also a freeware product called Asterisk that you can buy Voip gateways for such FXO to gain acces to the PSTN thru your POTS line. much cheaper than Cisco geear.

i mess with only cisco. people think im crazy with all the equipment i have.. all of my none cisco gear wasnt even listed here.

Can you tell me how big roughly, in terms of MB, Cisco Unity is?

You can get all the software to Install Unity, excluding windows os, downloading it from Cisco.
