How I can make my hex2 to work under linux

Hi I have Pentagram Hex2, under windows it's ok, but under Linux I have with kppp "NO CARRIER" ??? help me pleas

Okay, so this is a european device based on what I am reading, but is basically a conexant pci modem.

Have you contacted the manufacturer to see if they provide any drivers for Linux? Do they support Linux?

Did SuSE automatically detect this modem when you installed it (or did SuSE install this driver when you installed SuSE)?

Did you have to run YAST to find this modem?

This looks like a winmodem, it may not work.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.
 
this driver is from linuxant.com - the original driver under linux. Suse did not detect my modem until I installed this *.rpm. And yes this is an winmodem, but it works very good with previous versions of this distros.

Mandrake knows what it is, but he "sad" , that this modem i supported only with 2.4x kernel.
