how I can access uefa.com 2

I am living in Canada
when I am trying to access uefa.com I cann't.
I have to input the ip address 213.130.44.134
from there I want to access video section. if I click on the link I have "this page cannot be displayed)
if I enter the IP address of video.uefa.com - 81.93.176.11 I have this message You were denied access because:
Access denied by access control list.
I have a user name and password bought from them for that page (also over there is a free area) but if the addresses don't work and only IP adresses what should I do?
Can anybody please help me?

You've listed uefa.com twice.

I'm surprised to see only 1 DNS server listed...if that ever goes down, you are out of luck.

Try hard coding your IP, but use a different DNS server...here is a list of DNS servers dished out by my provider:

If this fixes your problem then you can tell your provider they have a problem with their DNS server. I still can't belive they provide only one DNS sever address.

No in Calgary there are 2 big internet providers: Shaw (cable) and Telus (ADSL)

And Tommorrow supose to come in my place a Shaw tech person for this matter.... I am very curious what will happen...

Me guess would be that the DNS has been hard coded in your router or PC when you had ADSL and you switched to cable and you are not useing the right DNS server, Useing someone elses DNS server work most of the time but some sites will give you trouble. I run in to this trouble a couple of times with subs who had cable and switched to your ADSL and the cable ISP had hard coded there DNS info in all the PC's.

How are you changing DNS server addresses when your adapter is configured for DHCP?

Similar to allteltec's post, have you searched your PC for any and all HOSTS file to see if an errorneous entry is in any of these?

The Shaw support guy came into my house with his laptop and tried to access uefa.com
He could't do it. He said that Uefa.com is the problem not Shaw. Of course he tried also on my PC. Nothing. Seems like the problem is in Uefa.com He said that Uefa probably did an upgrade to DNS and they screwed up something in their part.

Any other Ideas?

Does ping www.uefa.com still fail? I bet it does.

From a command prompt I open nslookup
then at the > prompt I type :

C:\>nslookup

Next, I tell it to use a Shaw DNS server:

Changing to your older entry (telus) provides stranger results:

So there is obviously a DNS issue, but how to resolve it? Perhaps your Shaw tech is correct in that uefa changed DNS entries and somehow it wasn't propagated properly throughtout the Internet DNS system.

So I was ready to submit this post when I decided to do some more nslookup on through my default DNS server. Weird results, it resolves to various IP addresses at various times. Here are just a few returned:
81.93.176.11, 213.198.96.11, 81.20.74.11

I profess not to be an IP expert. How does a name resolve to different addresses? Dynamic IP?

The only consistency I get is that Shaw DNS servers never resolve and that is the root of your problem.

Two things you may like to try.

Copy this Tek-Tips web page and send it to UEFA Support for their comment.

Start a new Thread (with a link to this Thread, thread779-1282944 ) asking Members (particularly our Canadian and North American Members) to try connecting to
See if you can build up a picture of who can and who can't connect.

Have them direct any comments or suggestions to this main Thread.

Also I found out some people from Calgary that use Shaw as internet provider that can access Uefa.com with no problems So how it is possible? I also sent an message to video support from uefa.com but they don't answer... probably they think is a hoax...

If you can, see what DNS servers these others in Calgary are being provided with by Shaw. No doubt they are different than the ones you are getting.

At the very least, these two Shaw DNS servers are not resolving

Secondary Server Name: nsc2.so.cg.shawcable.net
Secondary Server IP: 64.59.135.135

You should be able to tell Shaw technical support this. I feel it is the fault of these, and perhaps other Shaw DNS servers, not uefa.com, otherwise NO ONE would be able to access the site.
