How hard is it to upgrade a large application from VB6 to VB.net

I my opinion, i would not use the wizard because it puts a load on VB 6 code in it and some of the features did not work.

I just rewrote it in VB.NET and it was quicker and easier.

I wouldn't think of VB.NET as "new and improved v6", but as a whole new language. IOW, I wouldn't port it, I'd rewrite.

VB .NET is completeley different and the upgraded application may not work imedialtely because many changes
occured in the standard componenents ( itemdata disappears , change in treeview , ... ).

it is a good test to try to migrate an application to
convert the classes and modules but the application mmust be rebuild to take adavantages of ADO.NET ,....)
