Is there a special cable that is used or some adapters? Or is an integrated CSU required to convert the amphenol to a cat 5 patch cord?

You can use the adapter or you can make an amphenol to RJ45 cord.

Thanks, Chuck.

Is there a specific adapter shipped when you order an MM for this? Is there a part number or is it part of a kit? I assume the adapter connects pairs 23 and 24 to an RJ45 jack with standard DS1 pinouts?

The MM system ordered with an T1 or E1 Dialogic card does not come with the cable. You can order the adapter when you get the TN464, but it is usually easier and cheaper to make the cable yourself with the pairs. I thought it was pairs 22 and 23 though.

We just installed a MM 2.0 with QSIG T1 integration. The install came with a 356A adapter for the amphenol on the slot with the TN464. We used one of the regular 50' T1 cables (rom Avaya). plug it into jack 8 on the 356A and then into the T1 card in the MAS. If everything is configured (per CN88003) the link comes up. I found that the TG on the S8710 had to be busied, then released to get it to come into service.
