Help, I have the 3 user demo version of Netware 5.1 from Novell's CNA Study guide for NetWare 5.1 by Clarke. I can NOT get the client for NT to connect to the server. Also, I am a newbie to NetWare. Can someone pleeezz help???

Is this the Novell Client for NT/2000 or the Microsoft Client for NetWare Networks?

Also, what protocols have you configured for both the Server and the workstations? You should start with at least IPX enabled since it seems to be about as easy as it gets.

Please advise.

This is for Novell Client NT/2000. I configured IP & IPX.
Salserocito, Thanx a million in advance!!!

Is this the first NetWare server in the environment, or are there others?

Look in the Console Monitor / Connections... Do you have any connections listed?

Are you sure that you have your NDS Tree, Context and Preferred Server set correctly on the workstation?

Also check your Protocol settings on both the Server and the Workstation... make sure that your Server has its TCPIP Addressing is in the same subnet as your workstation and vice-versa. If you type CONFIG at the Server prompt, it will show you how your Server protocols are configured. It is very important to have TCPIP and/or IPX bound to the Server's network adapter.

I hope this helps! Good Luck!
