hi there

our mail server is running low on hard drive space, im going to fit another scsi drive but need to know how to span the drives so it's one big D: drive.

thanks in advance If in doubt get the Ball Pein Hammer out

Just add the disk, go into disk administrator, select the original D: disk + the new unpartitioned disk, and choose extended volume set...

This will create 1 large disk without losing the information which is already on the old D: disk

However, make sure you have a full backup because if a disk in your volume set crashes, you loose it all.......

Hope this helps Peter Van Eeckhoutte

No, the partitions can be on IDE drives. No difference.
