I have the polycom conference phones and an analog module. I was wondering how to set it up. I have the line in the analog module but I am not getting a dialtone.
You set a PolyCom up like any other analog phone, fax or modem.
1) Decide on what extension to assign to the Polycom based on your dialing plan.
2) Find the analog port you want to use on your expansion module under the Extensions tree on the left side of Manager. Set the port to the extension number you came up with.
3) Setup a user in the User tree in Manager with the same extension number. Turn off voice mail in the voice mail tab so you don't have to pickup voice mails for the PolyCom.
4) Plug the Polycom into the anlog port and power outlet and you are ready to go!
It is an Analog Expansion Module that has 16 pots ports on it. I just have no dialtone and IP office is not picking it up when I reboot or even open the configuration in Manager.
Yes power is on. Light on module on. Light on IP412 telling which port it is connected in is on. Shows up under control units in Manager. Says it is version 34. Added this module after I set up the initial IP412.
Well it worked. At least getting module to get recognized and do the upgrade. They sent me a wrong power supply. I can plug and analog phone in and it works. However when I plug the polycomm in it rings, and when I pick it up it is just static. Then hang up and it rings back. It is an endless loop. I used the existing set up that was on the old system. It comes in from the room, into a 66block then from there to another 66block that is connected an amplifer from the old system. I pulled out the wire that was going to the 66 connected to the old phone system and punched the blue wires down to a jack and then ran a phone cord into the Analog module.
