Is it possible to save a previewed report in Access as a file of some sort? My users have a fax program on there computer and they need the ability to fax an Access report from their computer.
One answer is to use the Tools, Office Links, Output to Ms Word option, and save and print it from there.<br>

Another is import the report into an new, empty database - (if having a file is all you want, but I don't think so!)<br>

Fax s/w is sometimes setup in the Printers Folder (under Start, Settings), in this case, if the users have Access on their PC's, they can merely print the report to the fax machine, using File, Print, and then change the Name option.<br>

Something else to try is I think Microsoft have an Access Report Viewer one can download as freeware from the Microsoft site. It should have the ability to print.<br>

Good luck!<br>
There are 3 ways I know of to save a previewed report to a file. The unacceptable way is to export it to Word, not good because you lose a lot of formatting and subreports, or you could install Microsoft's SnapViewer, which is fine but you'll have problems if you want to email the file to other people, they will need snapviewer as well, or you can bite the bullet and get Adobe's suite of applications that will allow you to make PDF files, that everyone can read. That is in the $300-$400 range I believe.
Thanks dblake for your help. All I had to do was select another printer, the one that went to our PC fax program, and print it to the fax program. Then I could open it in the fax program, fax it, print it, or save it as a bmp.<br>
