How do you outline along a vector path?

I need to make the vector paths that I created in LiveTrace into flat outlines to overlay onto a map I am creating. Does anyone know how to do that?
Do I need to manipulate it in photoshop?

What do you mean by flat outlines? if you adjust the transparency you can overlay it onto the original map to check for accuracy. otherwise maybe you mean edit- expand appearance? that will turn the strokes into shapes.
