I am still new to Olap . The VISN is define as float.
I created a cube and a dimension VISNLEVEL.
eg

VISN Numcnt
---- ------
1 2
10 1
15 2
2 2
1 1
11 2
3 2

the results:

VISN Numcnt
1 3
11 2
10 1
15 2
2 2
3 2

How can I get the VISN to be sorted in ascending order.
Thank you very much...

you go to dimension editor and go to properties - advanced. You get a property as "order by" and set that.

For the OLAP tool that we use, that order is usually indicative of a character type field. There is an option for us to change the DisplayAs setting to numeric so the field displays in numeric order.
