On Windows 2000 Servers, is there any way of telling who is logged into the server (like the Monitor screen in Novell)

Like users that have open files? It would be in the Shared Folders section of the MMC.

No, I really would like to have a complete list of whoever is currently logged on.

EG, a user may be logged on, but not accessing any files. How would I know if he is logged on or not?

Go to and look for Langaurd network monitor. It's free, and you can run it from your pc. Great tool. Glen A. Johnson
