How do you make an IP Office DS perform like a Definity?

Any users on the forum with a comment? I have had issues from clients wanting their IP Office to perform in exactly the same way as the Definity. Lets give AVAYA credits for providing coverage on v1.3 :)

But we could have a few more.....

What do you need to (emulate)? Out of the box you have basic functionality but not all of the bells and whistles.

Umm, throw it out and buy a definity, two totally different systems.. :)

What are you trying to copy from the Definity?

The IPOffice is a very good product, and can do ALMOST unlimited tasks. Just tell us what you want to emulate from the Definity world and I will tell you how to do it, or at least get you started.

Thanks!

Ps. If you do through that IPOffice out, I'll take it....

I beg to differ on making the IP Office do unlimited tasks, but for its costs in comparisons with the Definity, it's not that bad. Anyway here's what I am trying to achieve:

I have a number of 6408 D+ working off the IP Office DS. I'm trying to program call pickup feature onto a button as on a definity.

I originally used "dial, *30" to pickup any incoming calls. It works, but this does button does not flash.

OK, so I decided to try "user, "NameOfUser"" on a button. This works great, except I'll soon run out of buttons.

I could I suppose, try somthing like "user, "NameOfHuntGroup"" or "dial,*32*N#" (where N is the extn of the Hunt Group) but all the users have their own incoming numbers, and they do not belong to a hunt group.

So that's my little problem for the week. Your suggestions would be most welcome.

Sorry to bring this old thread back - but it's almost to do with what I want.

If I program a button on a 6408 as a CallPickUpMembers and put it to the group, pickup works fine. But can that PickUp button flash? I don't believe it does! Surely that should happen when someone in the group has a call?

Cheers!

Look out for 3.0, it will have many Definity like BLF functions.
