I have gone though most of the prior Posts and cannot find the answer..
I have created and saved an illustration in Illustrator CS with a “Drop Shadow”.
I am working on a new project which requires the same illustration but smaller, I cannot figure-out how to reset the drop-shadow..?? How can I reset the shadow or even delete just the shadow??
TIA

You can go to Effect--Stylize--Drop Shadow to turn the shadow off, or in the Appearance Palette in the drop down menu you can select "Reduce to Basic Appearance"
Hope it helps

Thanks Mark,

Since I have already saved the image with the shadow settings going to the “drop-shadow” window only adds another shadow on the original shadow… I also attempted the "Reduce to Basic Appearance" and it erases just a partial of the shadow and will not get rid of all of it. Any other way to execute this?
TIA

oh I thought you said it was an illustration. If it's an image you need to change, just open it into Photoshop, and create a clipping path of your subject.
Replace it in Illustrator.

I created a vector image in Illustrator, applied "Drop Shadow" and saved the file as "ai". I opened the same file in Illustrator and am trying to resize it, but the shadow effect will not resize with the rest of the image. I am sorry if I miss guided you with the wrong terms, I don't talk this lingo too well. I appreciate all your help.
I am not fluid with Photoshop but does'nt opening a vector file in PS rasterize it?

OK just go to Object--Transform--Scale. Click the Preview and the "Scale Strokes and Effects" on. Select some percentage, and away you go.

Thanks Mark,

I will be using this to finish this project... Your a life saver.!!
Just out of curiosity, is there any way to erase just the shadow..??

Appearance Palette. Clear appearance removes all effects and turns strokes and fills to none. You can just re-fiil your vector box with the color you had.
