I disabled the "server service" and it also shut down my computer browser. Now I can't acccess any of my files on my PC. The thing is I can't start the serivce the same way I disabled it.

Can you enable this from command line???? Or will I have to edit the registry files??

from the command line:

net start server.exe

If that doesnt work then go into your network setting and make sure that file and print sharing is checked. That should start it back up also.

no luck with either. I can't view my settings for file and print sharing. When I select network connection the folder is empty. I can't browse anything.

Sounds like your network card is disabled or got uninstalled. Check this by going into your device manager and then clicking on the plus beside network adaptors. Check and see if your network card is still there. You may have to reinstall it.
