How do you disable COT lines

Hi I have an opt61C. We seem to be having problems dialing out to 800 #'s. I have traced back to 2 of our COT back up lines. What are the steps to disable these loops?

You can disable the tns associated with the trunks in ld 32. If these are the only members of a route specified in the RLB you can go into that entry of the RLB and at TOD enter X0 keep hitting return until you return to REQ propmt. This will pass that entry until turned back on.

lines and loop are a different thing in this switch. to disable a trunk. if it's analog ld 32 disu x x x x or disu x x in an opt 11. for a digital trunk, ld 60 dsch x x..

Thank you for the feed back. It was disu. Now I have 15 back up lines. With me disabling the 2 unit will the switch go around those 2 members and look for the next dial tone?
Also could some one explain the procedure on a maintenance phone. I not quite sure how to test to see if the problems is Verizon or the card. Both member were on the same card. Any ideas on how to test?

You can test this by using the mantinace set login and select the trunks by TN you want to test

yes the switch will not hit a disabled trunk outbound, dependingon the type, the co may hit them inbound

What will the inbound caller get? Will it go around to the next available or busy out?

usually ring no answer, unless they are wink start. if the line is open on a loop or ground start, the co doesn't check the line for answer supervision.
