I have a line that goees to the paging system and apparently someone has left the phone off the hook. It is tying up the paging system. When I look at the line in the system it says its type is RDB. I need to know how to disable it. What load, commands, ect...

First go to load 21 and enter LTM at the request propmt. After the LTM prints out find the pag route and note the TN. The go to LD 32 and enter DISU tn(this is the TN from the LTM. wait about 20 seconds then enter ENLU same tn. After that go back to LD 21 and PRT the TYPE RDB and enter the paging route number. Once you have done that go to LD 16 and at REQ CHG, TYPE RDB, CUST 0, RDB paging route. Keep hitting return until you come to CNTL then enter YES and hit return. TIMR is the next propmt you will see. Enter TFD (0) - 3600 Timed forced disconnect for paging trunks (30 second increments). TFD must be defined individually for each route. TFD is timed force disconnect so if this ever occurs again you will only need to wait until the timer threshold is met and then the line will be available.

fastest way to cure that problem is ld 80 trac 0 xxxx with the page code. that gives you a tn, calling tn and term tn. then in ld 32 disu x x x x either of those tn's. here's a maint tip to stop that from happening.

if that trunk is programed as a pag trunk, then prt it, out it out the route and put it back in as cot. then do a change and at cntl enter yes, at the timer prompt chg then tfd 120.. what that does is a forced timed disconnect after 2 minutes.. i changed all of our page trunks to that due to the valcomm's getting hung and someone having to dial or drive in to disu a trunk..

Just to make it clear, you don't have to make a page route to do paging. as JP said make them COT route and Trunks.
