I can delete the commands in a vector but I don't know how to delete the entire line.

IE remove the play ann. xxx in line 7, but don't know how to get rid of line 7.

Press F6
On the command line type d 07 then enter (d space then line 07)

D - delete
I - insert

This will also automatically re-number the steps in your vector. It's a nice command.

How would you remove the entire Vector? I am very new so sorry if this is too obvious. I have tried "remove" but do not see vector as an option. I see vrt, but I doubt that is it.

I am trying to clean up some programming left in the switch from a long removed application.

Space out everything in the vector (including the vector name) and then save it. This will remove the vector from your programming.

BTW, you've probably already noticed this, but you can't add a new vector, either. The command is "cha vect X", even for new vectors.

Thanks Susan!

Last question I swear... but

If I list the usage of a vector and it comes back "no data in the system to list"

Would it be safe to assume this is not in use at all?

That should be a safe assumption. However, if you have CMS Supervisor, you can also run historical VDN reports to see when the last time the vector was used. Just because it's not in use today doesn't mean it won't be used tomorrow.

As an example, my business is closed on all federal holidays. Some of our customers aren't aware of all of the federal holidays and their schedules. So during the week prior to the holiday, I change our primary "open" and "close" announcements to state "Thank you for calling XYZ company. We will be closed on Saturday, November 11th, for Veterans Day." So that I don't have to play around with active announcements/vectors, I have a sub-series of vectors pointing to the "holiday info" announcements. These vectors are only active during the week prior to the holiday - at any other time, the VDN's point to the normal vectors and no "list usage" information will be displayed.

I hope this helps.
