How do you backup Groupwise 6 through Galaxy?

Hi,

I am trying to find a way to backup groupwise 6 with Commvault Galaxy 5. There are no Groupwise agents as yet so a file system backup seems to be the only option. There is no open file agent either so I assume that groupwise needs to be shut down for the duration of the backup.

Does anyone have an idea where to begin with this? Do I need to run scripts to shutdown and startup Groupwise? How do you write such a script?

Hi Aragorn, we use QiNetix Galaxy v5 and use the pre/post scripting feature of the product to shutdown groupwise ahead of the Scan phase and reload the NLM's post backup, this works well for us, but I believe you can also use the St. Bernard OFM that CV OEM,
