How do we restart MAX?

Hi,

I had an issue today where MAX 'crashed' and wouldn't come up. Initially I checked the SDI HIGH and HSL and they were OK. Following the NTP's I did DIS SDI HIGH and DIS HSL in LD 48. Then did ENL SDI HIGH and ENL HSL in LD 48. When I did the ENL HSL, the 61c returned 'NRDY'. Next step is apparentely to restart MAX. The vendor says all I have to do is log in to MAX and select the 'Shutdown and restart' option from the menu.

My question is, where is this menu? If MAX is down, what menu are they referring to? I assumed (maybe wrongly) that you should do a shutdown from the PABX > prompt not from within MAX.

Please could someone assist me with how to shutdown and restart MAX?

there is a boot button on the front of the unit press and hold for 5 sec then release, if it's coming up it should be up in about 10 min

Thanks - that's working now.

If I can't physically access the switch, is there a way to do it remotely (my vendor said they could do it via the Maint TTY port over the modem?)
 
Try this. I had the same problem one day and wanted throw MAX out the window:
