Recently started working for an Avaya Partner, a tech in the field is asking for assistance in increasing centerview supervisor licenses. We have PLDS access, PO has been completed and order is in place. how do we acquire the instructions on how to perform this action? the Part number is AVA/270065 for CMS R12-R15 Supv New OE Add License only.

I appreciate whatever resource I can get.

Thanks

Looks like this is something only Professional Services can do. If I'm incorrect please tell me.

Thanks

I believe the above answer is right - you should be able to avoid a professional services order in and of itself - its trivial to license, but its old fashioned and someone from Avaya needs to go into your CMS with a super user level login and manually enter how many supervisors you're allowed to have. There isn't any license file to speak of as far as I know.

I have access to su cms cms not sure where to go from there though

I believe its with the cmssvc account, and using the command cmssvc at the CLI, you get a menu of options and one of them is to change the amounts of licensed things, and it requires a password, and you have to be Avaya to get into it

There is usually an Avaya implementation fee of about $200 which should have been ordered by the BP from the distributer along with the licenses. That's the part that kick starts the Avaya process where they dial in and activate them.

My response to that is this; If only Avaya Professional Services can install the licenses. Then why isn't it automatically a line item when you generate the order through Avaya ASD? Their response is simply that it isn't included.

CIS Activate Additional Licenses is $225. Which takes 7-10 days. The expedite is another $250.

I do appreciate everyone that has responded. You've been quick, and you've been accurate.

Thanks again

I had questioned the process once with our distributer and their response was that "some business partners can turn these on themselves in CMS". I don't know how that would be possible since if a BP had the license authorization password, they wouldn't even need to go to Avaya to pay for the licenses in the 1st place. 100% profit margins....yay!!!
