I have a paging code that I need to remove from all our Option 11C PBXs as well as our Option 61C.

Actually, I want to change it to go to a recorded message stating that this paging funtion is no longer available. I will settle for just deleting the reference, though.

Any help would be appreciated.

From Option 11C where the Paging Trunk is acually located

So, can I just out DN 83 in LD 20 and recreate it to go to an actual phone, setup a voicemail box, etc? Or is there an easier or better way to do this? If I out the DN, what will happen when the other sites try to page using this code, will it have a fast busy or go to the new TN with the vm?

Thanks,
Jack

You would OUT the trunk in LD 14 1st. OUT the route in LD 16. Create a dummy ACD of 83 in LD 23 and point it to voice mail. Create your announcement in voice mail. Remove the TSC in LD 87 in the other switch and create it as a DSC. It will then route across to the announcement.

How to remove steering code:

Step 1. Post here
Step 2. Read answer.

It's that easy :)

Thanks Telebub! I am cool with everything except the removal of the TSC in LD 87. How do you remove these things. I was going to use the OUT command in LD 87 and I stopped when I realized I was going to remove the entire data block. I know that there is something really simple here, but I am not aware of it.

Thanks,

Jack

It's just like OUTTING a DSC.

OK - I created the new acd pointing to my vm dn. Then I created an Announcement Service for it. For some reason it takes 9 seconds to get there once I dial the code. Any ideas?

Thanks again.
I created a test DSC at my headquarters pointing it to the remote location with the current paging trunk code.

Then I created an ACD with the same DN to point to our Meridian Mail box where I created an announcement service.

I figured out the 9 second thing....my FLEN was wrong. :D

Thanks for all the help!

- Jack

BTW - I was not able to remove a DSC using CHG and x83. The OUT DSC command above worked like a charm. I was leary to do it in the event I wiped out my entire CDP data. It didn't. Thanks again, Telebub!

Yeah I seen x wasnt gonna get it after i posted it sorry, telebub covered me, why I starred him.
