Hi forum

it is the third time I ran into this problem.

previously, I had to reload windows xp from scratch.

now another user can't login phonemanager.

I tried to use msi uninstaller referred to in other thread, no luck.

how do I erase all avaya software and settings from XP?

any input welcome.

Cheers

Michael

that user can login from another PC.

so it must be her PC corrupted.

their Telephone guy already spent hours (again) to remove/re-install the IP Office software.

I tried this afternoon (local time), no luck, going in circles.

is there a utility software from AVAYA to remove itself?
many thanks in advance.

Micahel

I think the profile has been corrupted and the Profile is not deleted when youdo an uninstall.
So just try with deleting the Profile, with no need to uninstall first. Because when you then log in again, a new Profile is automatically created.
You normally find the profile here:
C:\Documents and Settings\lodde\My Documents\Avaya\IP 400\PhoneManager\Profiles

When you try to unistall do you get an error message "a required script cannot be run" or something similar?

I've had this kind of issue when uninstalling IPO User apps It appears to be the result of certain registry keys being missing.

if you turn on Microsoft installer debugging, that will give some indication of what is going wrong...

Take Care

Matt
I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

many thanks for the help.

deleting the avaya profile makes a difference.

Lodde's tip works great.

cheers

Michael
