How do I translate PROW() from dbase5 into dbase9 so as not to get an error?

Hello, I am trying to convert an old Dbase 5 code to run under Dbase 9. I have tried various work arounds such as _PCOL and _PROW to get the same spacing as PROW() but to no avail. If anyone has figured out what I need to do I would really appreciate a return post.
