How do I terminate a command 1

I have a pline script that I am copying out of Excel into the command window of AutoCAD. I can't figure out how to terminate the command. I have the following:

pline
2,3
3,4
4,5
end

except "end" does not work. What should I put in the place of "end". I tried "enter", "cancel", "*cancel*" and a few others.
