unix silent qcan -X -PPCHINA 1>/tmp/qcan.out 2>&1.
still get messages
Message from root on park30 (UNKNOWN) [Fri Nov 12 08:13:11 EST 2004] ...
Message from queueing system:
Job number 412718 has been deleted from the queue.<EOT>

That's interesting. I just ran:

qcan -X -Pprintname 1>/tmp/qcan.out 2>&1

and it cancelled all my jobs (showed nothing on the screen)....... but sent me an email about all the jobs it canceled.

Print sucks.

It probably some setting on AIX , I'm not sure where to look to correct this

thanks!

hfaix,

I think the soutions is system env.

Assign the Console
i changed Console
Console log VERBOSITY to 0 , but i need to reboot for changes take .

I was going to ask if you were on the console.

The -C flag to qprt will causes messages to be mailed instead of printed to your first login screen, but certain messages go to the console no matter what.
