I have configured a HP printer on our Solaris 8 workstation. In the Print Manager, I ensured the Banner page was not selected. However, when I print, it always prints a Banner Page, regardless of what I select in print mannager.
I guessing I may have to modify the /usr/lib/lp/model/standard script but don't know where or how. Can anyone help???

Thanks in advance,

Gary

Hi Gary,

not sure if this will work in your situation, but using lp with the -o nobanner option might do the trick. Take a look at the man page for lp. Cheers.

Easy,
go to /etc/lp/interfaces
find your printer
edit the file that has your printer name
find the word "nobanner" and change no to yes
that's all
