How do I send email from a batch program?

I wrote up a DODS batch job which performs FTPs and would like to make it email the analyst if a problem occurs. Any pointers on how one wold go about doing this?

You cant do this in a batch file alone, but if you install IIS and the SMTP Service, a very simple
bit of VBScript will do it. You need to learn CDONTS.
