How do I enter the criteria for the a singal quotation mark with a wild card before and after. For example. My data set may be:

steel 3" flange
steel 4" flange
steel 300 pound flange

I want my query to return anything with the 3" in it. So if designed properly the query would only return

Steel 3" flange.

Thank you,
JO

Yes I know, I spelled query wrong in my question. Sorry.

For double quote, try:
Like "*""*"

for single, do
Like "*'*"
--Jim

...put the 3 or whatever in front of the ""...

Jim,

That works a little. It pull up an entry that starts with "

I can not get it to pick up anything else though. Like 3" or 10"x3"x6"

Any ideas? I tried expanding on you suggestion, but I am just creating errors. I think you are on the right track though.

Thanks,
JO

Code:
Like '*3"*'
