I have over 8000 pdf files that was produced with the outdated printer driver. In Acrobat 5.1 or 6.0 they viewed with the multiple rectangles(unprinted characters).
The way to fix these files is to run thought the Acrobat Distiller which accept the Postscript format files.

I need convert all those PDF files to the Postscript first.
I appreciate any input.
Thanks,
Mikhail Posylkin

MP,
Run them back thru Acrobat and Save As a PS file. I don't know how you can do it as a batch, but I imagine you can figure that out.

Let me know if this helped.

I love Mondays cause they're the Second day of the week!

I haven't tried this, so take my advice with that it mind: you should be able to use the Javascript execute menu item method to perform the "Save As" operation.
