How do i save a Video Alpha Channel

what is the best way to save a video alpha channel in after effects? every time i save it and transfer the file as a layer in premiere i lose the transparency on the animation.
Any help would be appriciated...

export it as uncompressed with alpha... or aparently there is a quicktime codec with alpha.

You'll see the options for Alpha when you are adjusting your outpu options.

You could simply precompose your footage and just use it again in After Effects.
