how do i restore?

I have had problems with my exchange databases with both my mailbox store and public mailbox store failing to mount due to corrupt databases(i.e the priv1.edb and pub1.edb)
However I had copys of these databases saved in the same directory under different names for backup purposes...

How do I restore these backups, do i simply rename them and delete the corrupt priv1 and pub1 .edb files???

My data stores arnt mounted , they wont because the database files are corrupted, what i want to know is if i have a copy of the database that isnt corrupt can i just rename it, put it in the right folder and delete the corrupt one?
