I have moved a hard disk, that had been originally setup in another computer as C: with Windows7 64bit, to now be the second disk E: in a computer running XP.

The only problem is I want to remove all the old windows files and 64 bit Program files but can't as it says 'access denied' when I tried even though the computer is not using any of them.
Some .png files cant even be changed from 'read only'

Is there a way to remove them say using an API routine in VB6?(or any other way?)

If you are willing to remove all of the files from the drive, you could try formatting it.
