I installed a bigger hard drive onto my compaq computer and it loaded windows wonderfully. The old 40 gig hard drive I decided to put into another compaq p3 computer and no matter which way I put the jumper settings it won't work or the ide cables it still won't work... The cd drive will load up the XP windows disk as far as do you want to install windows XP onto your computer now press (enter)... or (r) to repair it, or to exit press (F3)... When I press enter it tells me it can't find any hard drive connected... What am I doing wrong... Can anyone enlighten me? Cheers

'Old'BIOS with a 32GB limit? Try to find a Bios update first, then boot from XP CD and 'repair'.

Andy.

Do you know if there is any site I can go to update the bios first? Much appreciated for all the help I can get
Cheers
