What is the exact steps to perform the following activity in Access.

reference the Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library

I think all it means is the following:
In your VB Editor choose Tools -> References... and then check the box next to Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library. And that's it.
Let me know if you mean to do something else...
