I inadvertently undocked my Workshop Tree (the left hand column with a listing of all the formula fields) and can't figure out how to re-dock it. I would appreciate some assistance. Thanks

right click inside the box and selct allow docking
then move the workshop tree until it docks where you want it

Thanks. I was right-clicking in the title bar. Didn't think about inside the box. Appreciate the help.

thats ok .. I undocked mine once and it took me a month to figure out how to fix it!

I'm having trouble re-docking the Report Fields. It will only dock on the side, I like it up top with the Functions & Operators trees. Any thought?

are you talking about the field explorer?

Oh you are talking about the field explorer inside the formula editor. I undocked mine and tried to move it elsewhere. It looks like the only options you have is either on the the left side or the right side. Unless someone else knows a trick it looks like thats what your stuck with.

Yes, I'm talking about inside the formula editor, sorry I was so vague. Currently it is docked on the left side of the formula area, I really liked in on top of the formula area.
Thanks

Cozmo2,

What version of CR are you using?

There is a registry setting that you can use to reset this. I will find my old notes over the weekend and post again.

I found my notes for a different version and decided to research all the versions. I posted the result on my blog:

I followed all the steps and I still can only dock the Report Fields (Field Tree)on the side of the formula area. Is there no way I can re-dock it up top with the Functions & Operators trees. Thanks for all the help.

That is odd. If you undock another window, like functions, can you re-dock it where you want it? The docking is based on the position of the cursor arrow.

I was able to undock both the other windows an re-dock them at the top (or anywhere else).

Cozmo2,

Are you sure you are looking at the field tree and not the workshop tree which is usually found to the left and which allows you to navigate between formulas? You should have four windows--the workshop tree on the left, and then the field tree, function tree, and operator tree above the formula area.

I am attaching a screen shot showing what I see. It is hard to discribe in words.

Thanks.

Sorry, the attachment didn't work. But I did double check and I do have the four windows you mentioned.

That is an odd one.
You might want to go back into the registry and compare some of the other docking values for this window to one of the other 2 windows that work correctly. Unfortunately they aren't named in a meaningful way
