I need to progam a button on a 7406+ so when the user pushes it, it will go to a night service contractor. Do I need to set up a vdn or vector for this? It's driving me nuts...any help is greatly appreciated. Working with CM 4.0 Many Thanks!

Do you want an autodial to call out to a specific number when the button is pushed?
or
Do you want to enable and disable call routing with a button push?

I'd like to be able to turn it on and off. When the folks in the clinic go home they enable it so calls go to a number to an outside contractor. Thanks for the response!

Communication Manager is very feature rich and flexible. There are many ways to control call routing for incoming calls to individual numbers or attendant seeking calls.
night service, time of day coverage, vectoring, call-forwarding, etc.
You will have to provide much more information before someone can guide you.

What I basically need is when the user selects a button all calls will be directed to 1800-xxx-xxxx. It's for an after-hours service, so if a person calls after hours the call will be redirected to an outside line; kind of like a night service button on and ACD when all the clerks go home for the day. Hope I'm explaining it clearly...trying to learn the system. Again, I appreciate the assist!

You could use Call Coverage with a Remote Coverage point. When the user presses the SAC button on their phone it would send calls to their coverage path. The 1st point of coverage would be 'rxx', with xx being the entry in the Remote Coverage table. You can use Time-of-Day coverage along with Call Coverage to send it to a different coverage point (voice mail?) during the day.
