Hi all,

I bought a new HP LaserJet 1012, but when I print, the colored lines on my AutoCAD screen comes out very light, and barely readable.

I tried everything to configure it so that all colored lines would come out black; but it did not work.

Does anyone know how to get all colored lines to print in black?

Thanks very much.

Have you changed the pen settings "plot style". This should do the trick.

Pete.

Make sure you install the printer in AutoCAD through the Plotter Manager. Do not install as system printer because if AutoCAD lets the printer handle the settings, you may not get what you want. We install in plotter manager as a LaserJet 5si printer and all of our HP's seem to work niice with those settings. Once you set up in ACAD, the plot styles will control the look of lineweights.
