I am trying to combine 3 files to one. I've read that the only way to do this programaitically is to use Distiller. Distiller requires that the source files be .ps format. How do I print a file from Microsoft word as PS format?

I just downloaded some PPD files from Adobe and installed a generic PostScript Printer, but this doesn't work either.

You can also make pdf files from .eps files in addition to .ps files.
Regardless, you should be able to make a .ps file from your Microsoft doc by going to your print dialog box, choose the "printer" button, and under "destination" choose "file" instead of "printer." Navigate down to "save as file" and choose either "postscript" or "eps." Either one should Distill.
