Hi Friends,

Could any one pls provide me order for physical power down of Nortel 81c.

I am award that it should be carried out after we stop all the services.

But how do we start.. is it in ascending order or Descending order.

If any one is having PDF or any document regarding this, pls forward this to me.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Ansar

Hello Ansar

First or all confirm that your system is doing regular backups. I'm guessing that you have Compact Flash or Floppy disks?. Check in LD 43 by doing a DAT or look at the actual media devices for confirmation.

In my experience, I'd turn off the breaker switches at the bottom of each cube. Don't touch the switches on the power units that are present for each shelf. I've had cases where the power unit switch fails to turn back on again.

Only turn on the system once the power has settled. Start in stages with the cube that has the CPU's present. Wait a few minutes and then turn on one of the other IPE cubes.

Don't rush it. It can be 10 to 15 minutes before it fully powers up.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.
