This is what I am looking for.

I need to go from an Access form to a Word template. The template should open as it does in Word, putting 'document 1" in the system bar. I use some bookmarks in the template that are replaced with data from the form and the user needs to input his own text.

I know about reports, but in this case it won't go.

I have a function that finds the folder where the .mdb is stored. It works fine in version 2000, but it doesn't in XP....
In 2000 I can open a template with VBA, but that doesn't work either in XP. In XP I can't even open a simple document in Word.

All help is appreciated!

Spike

Maybe you could look at Mail Merge from Access to Word.
there are a few FAQ's on that in the Access forums

Hi DougP,

Thanks a lot for the quick response. I will certainly look at the FAQ's.
