How do I obtain a variable selected from scrolling txt box?

I have adapted a scroll bar component from a post by oldnewbie which simply displays a list of items within the scrollable text box. I want to click on one of the items in the list and dynamically display a photo which corresponds to the selected item. Does anyone have any advice, and/or an fla to accomplish this?

Yes, I have a box in the center of the stage where I want to display the picture corresponding to the item from the selected item from the list. Hope that clarifies the issue.

BTW - The button, picture, movie, and scroll box you put inside a scroll box was nice. I'd love to see the fla.
