How do I write the letters which can look 3D and can have a gradient around it in a rectangle

I need to do that in photoshop elemetnts. Is it possible?

A quick and easy way to do it is have the instances of the text on two separate layers (perhaps one slightly darker than the other) and offset them (so they are exactly right on top of each other); these will be your front and back. Then use the line tool and connect the two together to form the sides of the letters (you may even what to do this on a separate layer). Fill in with a gradient or colour or whatever you wish.

Correction: line 3 in the ()s is should read (so they AREN'T exactly on top of each other).

Also, you could use a bevel for an easier effect, but less convincing(under layer effects in >PS6 or double click the layer and choose bevel in PS6)

For 3-D text, you could use Bevel and raise the percentages.
And never underestimate the Drop Shadow.
