When trying to use the Send To function in excel I get an Outlook Express window rather than a Microsoft Outlook . I changed the connection setting in IE to use Outlook as the default rather than OE.OS is Win98se

Any help would be appreciated...

OLE4x. :
On the Tools menu, click Options .

On the General tab, click the Make Outlook Express my default Simple MAPI client check box to select it.

Click Yes when you are prompted to set Outlook Express as your default Simple MAPI client.

Restart your computer.

On the General tab, click Make Default next to This application is the default mail handler .

Click OK .

I was looking to choose Outlook not Outlook Express as my default mail client.

oops. I apologize. To set it you need to open Internet Explorer. Click Tools/Internet Options/Programs Tab/Select Outlook there/Apply/and OK.

Which version of Outlook are you using. In 2002 it is in Tools / Options / Other "Make Outlook the Default Program for E-mail...." as well as the obvious IE which you say hs been done.

Also - You can also move your .pst to another location, open outlook (it will prompt for the .pst) and then re-direct it to the new location. Should you not want to move the .pst, do as above, and then move it back. You will get the same prompts as the first time. It will give a message about the mail delivery locations having been changed, and should prompt for default client after.

Hope this helps
