How do I make a popup to filter external data in Excel? 1

I need to make a popup come up when I open an Excel template, to filter external data.

I have templates linked to a SQL server. Some of the tables are larger than 65,536 rows.

I want to be able to specify what to filter before it loads in the Microsoft Query.

In MSQuery, the criteria can become a prompt if you enclose a prompt phrase in brackets.


I.E.,... [Enter a value for this field]

 

[ETID]

You can also add operators...


>=[Enter a value]
