how do i link to parts of the same page 1

can anyone please tell me who to make parts of the same page bring up other pats of the same page. i have seen sites that have a titles at the top of a page, and when clicked it scrolls the page to that particular part so you dont have to use the scroll bar at the side of the page, is this possible to do in DW3.

Hi,<br>Yes, this is very possible.<br>First, go view/invisible elements. Next find where on the page you want to link to, then insert a named anchor, and give it a name (obviously). Next, go to where you want to put the link, and highlight the text/image you want to make a link, right click and choose properties. In the link field, type the link name, preceeded with a #. Thats it!<br>so, your named tag would be, say, toppage, and your link in the text/image would say #toppage. When you click the link, it will take you to that named tag. The yellow shield you can see is invisible normally, so to hide it again, choose view/invisible elements to un-tick it.<br>Hope this helps.

Thanks stressedout, im trying to build this site and was having a few real niggly problems, i dont want to be a pain but are there any good books you know of for DW3, most of the ones ive looked at are almost copies of the online manual that comes with DW3.<br><br>thanks again<br>
