Have published a web from home PC and now need to be able to update it and publish it from works Pc. The import web command only seems to bring in the index.htm file. I also need to bring down the shared borders. Short of backinthe whole thing up from home and loading onto works Pc surely there must be a way I can import the WHOLE web?

many thanks in advance

Chris

File>import make sure you uncheck limit to (size) and (pages) this will import the whole thing, minus non-FP folders like cgi-bin and members directories. DeZiner

Thanks for that, but I have tried this already. I need to import the shared borders and themes as well. Any ideas?

Have you got frontpage extensions installed on the server that hosts your web? I think you'll need it.

I have just done this on my work PC but I cannot save the website to the server. I get a message saying that I cannot copy a website onto itself - Choose a different location. (Translated from Spanish). I think I am now live publishing although I didn't mean to be. What have I done wrong?

Open the Website from the server in FP and then Publish it to your Hard disk (you don't need the exensions installed). Once there you can then open your local copy in FP, make your changes and publish those changes back to the server.

Hope this helps
