I've been tasked with getting an info paper to the boss on existing systems in my shop. In particular, I need to identify the number and types of processors (also how much RAM) I've looked through SAM without seeing the obvious. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hi,
Using SAM you can find all the informations :
Performance Monitors -> System Properties

hi,
run "top".
the column in the top left hand corner displays the number of processors starting from 0: eg if you see 0 1 2 3 that means you have 4 processors.
can't remember off-hand if the other info you require is displayed but i'll check when i'm back in work on monday and send you another reply if you haven't solved it by then.
brgds.
