Hello Again,

We have 2 phones in the building that dial direct to 911. (old school! no dial! in a red box!)
I have been told that the lines do route through the PBX, but are hotlining (I think) to 911.
The documentation on the system is somewhere between slim and none, and I am very the noob to telephony.

anyone have suggestions, please?

I always welcome references to user guides and documentation

Thanks bhassell2000,

I was able to do a search for feature aka LD 81,I got a pretty big list, but there was no indication of the direct number being called, 911.

Is there a different report that lists the extension or outside line being called by the hotline phones?

Thanx

You should NOT get a big list for HOTD. Just which DN/TN's have that feature...

Mine looks like:

Thanks 30n30w,
WE have at least 2 dozen phones on property that automatically call the front desk when you pick them up so the list I get is that long. I could go through each TN in the PRT and see where they call. Just trying to save a little time.

My predecessors thought the phone system would be phased out anyway, so we are still using a dumb green screen terminal. I am trying to get it connected to my pc so at least I can cut and paste the lists. (the okidata dot matrix printer has long since died).

What I need is not just who has hotline, but the extensions they ring to. Maybe I am such a telephony noob that I cant read the PRT, so I could be looking at it and not even know :)!

UPDATE!!!

When I did the LD 81 for HOTD I got every phone in the building! BUT when I looked for HTL, it got narrowed down to 2 dozen phones, and after eliminateing the ones marked as known entitys, I was able to determine that the phones do not connect to a dedicated line, but instead dial 911 using any available trunk!

HUZZAH!

so for those who TL;DR: success using ld 81 for HTL!

thanks to you all for your help!
